Winterfest 2016 Art Tables

 

 

Winterfest art tables will be available for purchase Saturday, December 12, 2015, at 12:00 pm (noon) CST.

 

Table options:

$55 - One full table with two admissions

$40 - One full table with one admission

$30 - One half table with one admission

 

How to Apply

 

E-mail your application for purchasing an art table to art@ai-kon.org after the start time of 12:00 pm (noon) on Saturday, December 12, 2015.

 

In the subject line, please state "Winterfest Art Table".

 

Your e-mail should include your:

•   Full legal name

•   Email

•   Phone number with area code

•   Desired table size

•   Table partner name and above contact info (if applicable)

 

Note: Applications sent prior to 12:00 pm, December 12 will not receive a table. I will be awarding tables by the email time stamp. Please remember that Winnipeg is Central Standard Time (CST).

 

Responses to applications will be issued within the following week to ensure that there are no time stamp issues or errors.

 

Purchasing Guidelines

 

  • Upon acceptance, the artist will be emailed a link to our new online registration and payment form. Artists must complete and submit the form and payment by January 16th, 2016, 11:59 pm or their table will be considered forfeit.

  • If artists choose to mail in their forms and payment, please notify the Artist Coordinator (art@ai-kon.org) at time of application or any time after to make rearrangements.

  • Cancellations after January 31st, 2016 are not entitled to a refund due to the difficulty of arranging for another artist to take that position.

  • Unless special arrangements are made, all artists are required to sign in for their table upon arrival at Winterfest or it may be considered forfeit.

 

Artist Faire Rules

 

Artwork and Merchandise:

 

  • Artwork sold at Ai-Kon must be anime or of Japanese/Asian inspiration and may be done in any medium with the exclusion of food.  

  • Artwork for sale must be produced only by the individuals signing this agreement.

  • Fanart is acceptable, so long as you credit the series or creator. The artist understands the legal risks involved with selling fan art depicting trademarked and/or licensed characters.

  • No reproductions of existing works are permitted.

  • Second hand merchandise or trademark items may not be sold.

  • Hentai, sexually explicit or explicitly violent artwork may not be openly displayed.  This will be at the discretion of Ai-Kon staff. Such artwork may be sold discreetly, but may not be viewed or purchased by any person under the age of 18.  

 

Room Policies

 

  • Artists must abide by Winterfest art/vendor room hours.

  • No more than two artists are permitted behind each artist table in the room.

  • Artists seated behind artist tables must have appropriate coloured wristband/pass.

  • All drinks in the room must be contained in re-sealable containers.

  • Personal items are to be kept underneath art tables (not behind) to ensure a safe walking space.

  • Artwork is not permitted on the walls of the RBC Convention Centre; please utilize your table space.  

 

Winterfest art tables will all be sold on a first come, first served basis. Winterfest will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2015 at the RBC Convention Center.

Your application will include
• Full legal name
• Phone number with area code

• Desired table size

• Table partner name and phone number (if applicable)
• A short description of the art you (and your partner) wish to sell, if you have an image of a sample of your art that's even better.

 

Tables are provided on a first come first serve basis. Responses to applications will be issued in the following week to ensure that there are no time stamp issues or errors.

•   Payments may be made via PayPal, or cheque/money order via mail. All cheques and money orders must be made to Ai-Kon. Deviations from this may result in payments not being processed.

 

•   If artists choose to mail in their forms and payment, please notify the Artist Coordinator (art@ai-kon.org) at time of application or any time after to make rearrangements.

 

•   Cancellations after June 30th, 2015 are not entitled to a refund due to the difficulty of arranging for another artist to take that position.
