Downtown Winnipeg offers several free bus's, in addition the Convention is within walking distance of several hotels.   

 

\\Where is the Convention

The main convention is held at the RBC Convention Center which is located at 375 York Ave, Winnipeg, Manitoba

 

\\TICKETING

Ai-Kon uses Ticket Master exclusively for our main event at the Winnipeg Convention Center, clicking Get TIckets will bring you to the ticket purchase page where you can purchase Weekend Passes to the event.  They may also be purchased at the convention, day passes are only available at the convention.  Ticketmaster.ca accepts American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Sears MasterCard Canada, and Ticketmaster gift cards, at the convention center Cash is also accepted

 

\\TICKET AVAILABILITY ON SITE

For our Winterfest event or other special events tickets will be available directly through the Ai-Kon Website unless stated otherwise

 

\\Show Schedule 

Due to the constantly shifting information up to the day of the convention, a schedule will not be posted until 1-2 weeks prior.  We will advertise the schedule on the front of our website and social media in addition to providing a schedule sheet during the convention as well.  All Ai-Kon event access is included with your pass, seating may be limited for some events.

The Maid Cafe is a limited access special event for which tickets must be purchased at the event for due to the personal nature of it.

 

\\Badges

All Ai-Kon Vendors, Artists, Guests, Visitors,Staff and our Volunteers are issued a badge that must be worn at all times while at the convention.

 

\\Children 12 & Under

If your child is 12 years or under, they are required to be with a paying adult.  Your child does not require a guardian if they are 13 years or over.  We will be happy to escort you around the premises if you need to find your child.  Keep in mind the Winnipeg Convention Centre does not have a venue-wide paging system. Please have a system in place to contact your child at all times. (such as a cellphone)

 

\\How do I volunteer at Ai-Kon?

\\Photography & Videography

 

All areas are allowable for photography with the exceptions of the dealer's room and artist fair.  Photography or video recordings are not permitted in showing rooms while there are screenings occuring.

 

\\ENTRY & SECURITY

All guests must register to receive their badges, pre-registration is available on our website closer to the event.  Security is available on site and is provided by the Winnipeg Convention Center.   We do not offer a bag check, please ensure your belongs are secured in your Hotel, Car or at home

 

\\ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES

Alchoholic beverages are not permitted in the Winnipeg Convention Center grounds at any time, this includes smoking or other illicit substances
